An Alpine representative can answer questions you may have about our services, what to expect, how to set up your home for efficient home care, financial considerations, and more. Feel free to call us anytime. In the meantime, the following are some of the questions we are most often asked.

A Certified Home Health Agency, or CHHA as it is more commonly known, is a community based organization approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. A CHHA provides hands on care to patients in their home, whether they are recovering from acute illnesses or just experiencing a decline in their general medical condition. Alpine is not just a CHHA; it is a community of committed health professionals with far reaching goals offering personal connections to patients and their caregivers.

Alpine Home Health Care provides services that help to achieve an optimal level of functioning, including skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy, speech & language pathology, medical social work services, and even Home Health Aide Services. Services are based on a mutually agreed upon plan of care between the physician, our health professionals, and the patient.

Most insurance plans cover Homecare services; however, some insurance companies require copays or deductibles and may limit the number of visits you can receive each year. Our skilled insurance department will provide a simple, easy to understand analysis of your coverage to ensure you receive the maximum services for the lowest possible cost.

Medicaid limits the amount of money you can make each month and still receive benefits without having to make a contribution. If you make more than the maximum monthly income, you must pay the difference to receive Medicaid coverage. This is called a "surplus" or "spend-down". For example, if you make $25 more than the monthly maximum, your surplus is $25.

No. Homecare agencies can bill under Medicare Part A OR Part B. Additionally, both Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B cover 1005 home care services with no co-pay.

Medicaid NO LTC is a limited Medicaid that will cover prescriptions, hospital stays and doctor visits; however, it limits home care coverage. In many cases, Alpine is successful is helping our customers upgrade to a full Medicaid status. If you have this limited Medicaid coverage and need home care services, to us. We may be able to do the same for you.

Most HMO's require precertification for Home Care services.
