The Centers Adult Day Care at Ridgewood Center is a medical model Adult Day Health Care facility and as such we are equipped to provide any medical services you require and which your doctor has prescribed. Our full time nursing staff will see to you medical care and we also offer PT, OT and speech therapy every day.

The number of residents at Ridgewood changes, and not every member attends every day. So there are usually openings. However, due to our reputation, and the excellence of our facility we may be at full capacity when you apply. In those instances, there could be a brief wait for admittance. If you like, our admissions counselor may be able to place you in one of our other facilities, located in Bushwick or Jamaica, until a membership becomes available at Ridgewood.

For most of residents, there is no out of pocket cost. We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance. One of our admissions counselors would be happy to speak with you and let what coverages you qualify for.

Of course. We have many members whose circumstances are such that they prefer to attend only a few days a week. We can tailor your attendance schedule to meet most needs.

A lot! At Centers Adult Day Care at Ridgewood Center we pride ourselves on the active, vibrant lifestyles of our members and on our dedicated activities team. Here you’ll find many amenities and activities, not to mention a wonderful group of new friends to spend your time with. A member’s daily schedule is built around any necessary physical, occupational or speech therapy they require as well as all appropriate medical care. But that leaves plenty of time for activities. Our Activities Team publishes a weekly calendar with organized activities taking place every day, throughout the day. Members participate in crafts, art therapy, games, trivia contests, and they enjoy regular scheduled entertainment like visiting musicians, magicians, singers and more. And we offer regular trips to local attractions. We’ve visited the zoo, aquarium and botanical gardens, we attend performances and shows, cultural events and there are always restaurant trips. At the Center, we enjoy beautifully refurbished indoor and outdoor space that is secure and perfectly suited to the needs of our community.

Absolutely. We welcome all patients regardless of how they are paying for services.

We accept Medicaid-pending residents under most circumstances. Our admissions counselor can review your personal situation and our guidelines to see if you qualify for a Medicaid-pending admission.

While members can pay privately or through private insurance, the majority of members’ expenses are covered by Medicare and Medicaid. If you are uninsured, you may be eligible for Medicaid and not realize it. Our admissions counselors would be happy to review your circumstances and assist you obtaining the all the coverage you are entitled to.
