Centers Health Care has acquired all of the facilites of the former Capital Living Group, including The Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre, an 80-bed, skilled nursing facility on Marvin Avenue in South Troy.

The facility will now be known as Troy Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, according to a enws release from the new owner.

“With the addition of Troy Center, our world-class services will be available to more than 3,000 people in the upstate New York region,” said Kenny Rozenberg, CEO of Centers Health Care, which is headquartered in the Bronx. “Our homes reach from the Southern Tier north to within 100 miles of the Canadian border and from the Vermont border in the east to Buffalo in the west. Equally important, this expands our ability to deliver home care, adult day health care and assisted living services to more communities than ever.”

Centers Health Care offers short-term and long-term residents a wide range of programs in 42 facilites covering three states. Their services include long-term care, home care, adult day care, managed long-term care and medical transportation, along with specialty care services such as renal dialysis and ventilator care.

“We are so excited to be joining the Centers Health Care family,” said Keith Henchey, administrator of Troy Center. “You can already feel the positive buzz in the facility, from residents, staff and even visitors. We can now promise the services, support, expertise and training of one of the largest and most complete post-acute health care teams in the Northeast, yet deliver it with the same ‘neighbors caring for neighbors’ community approach that makes this place such a special home”.

The Centers Health Care family includes 42 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island, as well as four home health care companies, New York state’s second-largest managed long-term care company and a provider of durable medical goods. Through its family of skilled nursing facilities, Centers Health Care offers acute and sub-acute care for patients with diverse needs, including those on ventilators, bariatric patients and those suffering with heart failure, HIV, AIDS, dementia or in need of dialysis or specialized nutritional services.
